Before pressing, we measure the thickness of the veneer sheets. Even veneer means an even board: uniform thickness, a flat surface and steady density from edge to edge.
Veneer thickness
Sheets outside tolerance are removed before pressing.
STAGE 02 · FINISHED BOARDS
Seven checks on every finished board
After pressing, each board is measured and tested for size, moisture, inner quality and flatness.
THE THREE KEY CHECKS
Moisture, thickness and flatness decide how a board performs on the die. We check all three on every board.
Moisture content
7–12%
Every board is checked with a moisture meter. The right moisture level keeps boards from warping or cracking after delivery and on the die.
Thickness
−0.3 / +0.1 mm
Measured at several points on each board, so steel rules sit at the same depth across the whole die. Rotary boards: ±0.3 mm.
Flatness
≤ 3 mm
Warpage is measured on every board. A flat board keeps the die flat in the press and the cut even from edge to edge.
MORE CHECKS
Size and squareness
Length, width and both diagonals are measured against your order, so every board is cut true and square.

Sound test
Inspectors tap each board with a hammer. A dull or hollow sound reveals voids or weak bonding inside that can’t be seen from the surface. Boards that fail are rejected.
STAGE 03 · ROTARY BOARDS
Extra checks for a perfect curve
A rotary board has to fit your cylinder exactly. On top of the seven finished-board checks, we measure its curve.
A
Inner and outer diameter
Checked against the tolerance for your cylinder size.
B
Outer circumference
Measured around the curve to confirm the arc length.
C
Curvature
Checked along the board so it sits evenly on the cylinder.
